One thing that the story "Tomorrow..." reminds me of is the size of New York's Jewish Cemeteries. I always pass them when visiting friends in Queens and Brooklyn, and the way the tombstones are crowded together gives me such a clear picture of the size of the city (which , in the future setting of the short story, stretches out into Connecticut).
